Seeking for Bobsweep Bobi Pet Robotic Vacuum Cleaner and Mop? Have a look at our review below.
Well, robot vacuum cleaners have made our life convenient, they save us time, but we have to pay the price for comfort.
The Bobsweep Bobi Pet robotic vacuum is attractive but inconvenient and requires too much maintenance and hand-holding to be considered useful. It’s an expensive machine but still lacks Wi-Fi and app control. Don’t get fooled by its name its weak suction won’t lift pet hairs. Instead, invest in something better like Neato Botvac Connected much cheaper but advanced features, or iRobot Roomba 980.

Let’s discuss the Bobsweep Bobi Pet Hair Robotic Vacuum Review in details
Design and Features
Its circular shape is similar to Roomba with a smooth and glossy silicone finish which reflects. Avoid touching it too much because its mirror-like sheen attracts smudges, either you go with the scarlet or silver finish.
It measures around 12 by 12 by 3.5 inches (HWD), and shorter even the Roomba 980 (3.6 inches). So getting under couches or TV stands is not an issue for Bobsweep Bobi. Moving the vacuum around is troublesome as there’s no handle at the top like Botvac Connected.
It comes with three embedded buttons at the top: Go, Juice, and Waffle. Go turns on the vacuum, Juice returns the bot back to its base, Waffle instructs it to spot clean.
Similarly, lacks advanced settings or options like Botvac Connected. Comes with a disc-shaped remote control that runs on a pair of AAA batteries which you need to buy separately to control its features.
Using the remote, you can control the vacuum, set it to schedule, activate or deactivate the vacuum’s UV light, and adjust its speed. Instead of the vacuum, there’s an LCD on the remote that displays the current time of the day, scheduled time, and numbers indicating weekdays from one to seven. As mentioned earlier it doesn’t offer a smartphone app.
Flip over the bot and you’ll find a duster, washable HEPA filter, the main roller brush, detachable dustbin, rotating side brush for cleaning edges, two side wheels and a front wheel. The rear contains a mop attachment but requires someone to spray on it with water for it to work. Using its multiple dust cleaning sensors at the bottom and sides it identifies dust around, edge detection sensors avoid tumbling down from stairs. In addition, it has a wall detector, an on/off switch on the side.
In the box, there’s an extra brush for cleaning, a Bobi Block, a remote control without batteries, extra side brush, comb-like cleaning tool, charging station and wall adapter, a Philips head screwdriver, two micro-fiber mop cloths, extra screws, an extra filter. Unfortunately, you have to manually unscrew its battery panel, then place the batteries inside the vacuum by connecting the two circuit junctions together and stuffing the wires deep into the panel.
Unlike the Roomba or Neato, it’s designed is poor where others don’t even need a screwdriver as they require no manual installations; they work out of the box.
After installing the battery, the vacuum takes four hours to fully charge and runs for about 90 minutes in a single charge. This much cleaning time is enough to clean the whole apartment or a single floor of a home.
Returning to the docking station is not an issue as it only requires the push of the juice button to return and juice up.
This vacuum comes with a Bobi Block which is a virtual wall in Roomba 980 or Roomba 880 robot vacuum. As the name suggests, it’s a plastic block-shaped which runs with two AA batteries. It sets a boundary for the robot to cordon off areas where you don’t want to the vacuum to go.
If you have shag carpet then you can choose your best vacuum for shag carpet and if you have hard floors then you can choose best vacuum for hardwood floors.
Setup, Control, and Performance
After you set up the battery, put it on charge. Now its time to control the machine through the remote control. You can steer the vacuum using the directional buttons telling it where to go. You can also set the default cleaning mode to let the vacuum steer itself.
You better clean the way off with floor of socks, toys or anything you don’t suck up by the bot. Otherwise, the bot will get snagged either it’s kitchen mat, a bathroom mat, or a kitty litter box mat. Whatever the surface is the vacuum will cause an error and send you an alert that it’s stuck. So prepare yourself for frequent sessions to resolve the errors for the vacuum. You won’t ever see this problem with other less-expensive vacuums.
Final words
The price it comes in is not even worth it. It even lacks advanced features like Wi-Fi connection, a mobile app that is typically available in vacuums under $300. If we compare iRobot Roomba 980 at this price it’s much much powerful, offers the most advanced features. Similarly, there’s a Neato XV signature Pro that offers stellar performance, automated cleaning power, and tons of other features.
The Bobsweep Bobi Pet Robotic Vacuum that has an attractive design, runs quietly but lacks suction power making it a poor but expensive choice.
