Let’s discuss theĀ iRobot Braava 320 Review in details

Design

The Braava 320 is 10-inch-wide and 3-inch tall and weighs around 4 pounds which keeps the pads pressed against the floor surface. There are three buttons on the vacuum: Power, Sweep, and Mop. You’ll see a power jack on the side, a handle on the back and a removable pad holder at the bottom.

These pads have two sets of rubber teeth to tightly hold wet & Dry cleaning pads and these pads are held on their place with the help of magnets.

If you have shag carpet then you can choose your best vacuum for shag carpet and if you have hard floors then you can choose best vacuum for hardwood floors.

Performance

The Braava 320 performs very well on the hardwood floor, first it does sweeping and then it does mopping but uses a slightly different approach; it does sweeping with forwarding motion, while mopping in a back-and-forth ‘Y’ pattern.

I turned on the Robot in a room and watched it run around. I included a microfiber pad around the room for a while and then left the room closing the door behind me. Within 30 minutes, it had finished and was stopped in the exact spot from where it started. This is a great set-and-forget feature of robot vacuum cleaners.

After this process, the cleaning pas was dirty and dusty, but it’s machine washable so it’s environmentally friendly.

Before doing wet mopping, you will want to perform a dry sweep. The Braava will struggle with raised flooring as well as carpets and rugs, but the NorthStar system with GPS helps the robot identify its exact location.

Each NorthStar cube or beacon blinks the lights on the ceiling. The sensor with the help fo these lights identify its location and direction. You can set extra beacons to allows the vacuum to travel further, in different areas of your house. Beacons are not required as the bot can work without them, but only in smaller spaces.

The does wonderful mopping but leaves some spots untouched. Here, the more powerful and expensive Scooba 450 gets the job done.

Finally, the Braava 320 is user-friendly, effective mop and broom for light-duty-to-average messes and put the cleaning consumables in work that are already in your home.

Overall, iRobot Braava 320 is an excellent choice which delivers effective mopping and intelligent cleaning for the time-pressed homeowner or apartment-dweller sick of a manual chore.
